Dear Dr. Indman, 

It's been  6 weeks since my surgery. The only way how I can describe my feelings is thank you for giving me my life back.  For the last 3 years I was constantly bleeding due to a large fibroid, my hemoglobin was very low, I was very tired all the time. Before I found you I saw about  8 different doctors but nobody made me feel comfortable enough to go through a major surgery.

Being a doctor myself I know how important it is to have a trust in your surgeon and after my first appointment with you I couldn't wait to get my fibroid out. You made me absolutely comfortable, you explained to me what to expect, how to prepare for the surgery and how to deal with my recovery period. During my post surgical stay in the hospital I didn't have any pain or major discomfort. You are a brilliant surgeon and you are also  the best of the best in terms of pain control. When I came home after the surgery I never took any pain medications because I was just fine.

Two weeks later I was back to work doing oral surgery myself.  I can not thank you enough for everything you've done for me.

In 2004, a gynecologist I had been going to for years in San Francisco told me I had a tumor as big as a softball, and that I needed a total hysterectomy as it was probably cancerous. He performed a hysteroscopy, which was painless and revealed fibroids, but no softball-sized tumor.  I wanted to thank you again for identifying and fixing my problem so quickly.  I can't tell you how wonderful it is to be rid of the adenomyoma.  I feel that you're the first doctor who really listened to me and understood how bad the pain was.  After living with the chronic pain for half of my life, I feel so relieved now. 

 Before meeting with you, I had never heard the word adenomyoma.  I just accepted the diagnosis of fibroid because so many doctors told me that's what is was.   I never understood why the "fibroid" caused so much pain, didn't grow in 14 years, and was mushy in the middle.  It all makes sense now.  It's important for me to have answers and to understand what's going on inside my body, so thank you for giving me those answers.

I can't say enough how appreciative I am for the wonderful, concerned, and capable medical care you offered for the treatment of my fibroids -- thank you from the bottom of my heart!  My bleeding had become so heavy and nonstop that I found myself cancelling activities, missing appointments, and generally structuring my life around my bleeding.
